As cocoa stained my lips, I bit the crisp shell of a perfectly round bonbon.
The chocolate melted on my tongue followed by a puddle of caramel.
Its smell reminded me of shiny toffee apples at fairgrounds.
This memory was quickly replaced by one of eating popcorn at the cinema...as I tasted a sprinkling of salt.
As the flavours tease my senses, I’m tempted to eat another bonbon.
The combination of sea salt and caramel is unexpectedly addictive!

I was at Melt for the first time yesterday as part of a food tour. The lady who gave us a demonstration was super friendly and honestly made me feel like the chocolates from this kitchen were made by happy people! And let me tell you, happy people clearly make amazing chocolate. I'd like to believe I can tell the difference between ordinary and good when it comes to chocolate and this little store left me delighted. Whether it was the salted caramel bonbons (apparently their best seller), the little chocolate ganache one or the more unique lime verbena these chocolates are clearly made with superior ingredients, a good dose of creativity and some lovely chocolatiers. What a find! I'll definitely be back for more.

Sea-salt caramel chocolates These handmade chocolates are out of this world – to call them delicious doesn’t do them justice. The combination of salt and caramel sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it creates a melt-in-the-mouth moment.

This sleek, stylish chocolate shop called Melt is a little jewel in Notting Hill and selling the best chocolates I have come across in London.
The sea salt caramel truffle is my favourite flavour.
